Course Overview
Module 1, Instructional Techniques, is designed for anyone who needs to instruct practical skills to small groups or deliver classroom information in an interesting and interactive way. The course will guide participants through all aspects of planning and a training event.
Course Duration & Delivery
This is a two-day online module designed to conform to the requirements of Level 3 Award in Education and Training (previously PTLLS), preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector.

Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, delegates will have the skills and knowledge to be able to deliver training sessions with a high level of interaction from their own candidates, leaving them motivated and confident on return to the workplace.
Pre-Course Preparation
In preparation for this module, candidates need to prepare a 10–15 minute presentation on any subject of their choice. This presentation will be used during the training to build on the candidates’ strengths and help them identify and improve any areas that could be improved.
Pre-Requisites
You must hold a current Ladder & Stepladder User and Inspection qualification to attend the instructor modules. You must have at least 12 months' experience in working with working with Ladders and Stepladders. If you completed training less than 12 months ago, you must provide supporting written evidence from a person in authority that you satisfy this requirement.
Points to Note
Please note: If you already hold an instructional techniques qualification, you DO NOT need to re-take this Module.
Instead, you should book onto the 'Ladder Association - Instructor Course Modules 2 - 5' course only.
You must however, also send evidence of your Instructional Techniques qualification by email before the date of training for Modules 2 - 5 to [email protected]
