Course Overview
This Low-Level Access & Work at Height course, will equip you with the specialist knowledge you need to work safely with any low level work platforms under 2.5 metres and what you need to get up to speed on the basics of height safety.
Course Duration & Delivery
This course is completed over 2 sessions, the first session will be conducted online, under the tutelage of a Lead Instructor. This normally takes just over a 1/2 day to complete the theory and your assessment.
Once you have successfully completed session one, you will then be asked to record yourself, showing how you would conduct a practical session just like how you would deliver it on a live course! Your recording must have commentary, once complete this will be assessed by your Lead Instructor.
Course Content
Using a combination of theory and practical work, this course builds on your existing tower knowledge by introducing new techniques for linking towers and new enabling components, such as walk-through or step-through end frames. The course covers:
- How to safely assemble and dismantle low level access equipment
- How to safely use low level access equipment
- How to inspect low level access equipment
- How to identify hazards relating to their use
- What legislation, regulations and guidance are applicable to these towers
- How to comply with your duties under the Work at Height Regulations
- What access equipment is available
- What training and guidance is available for working at height
Course Outcomes
This course will enable you to teach the PASMA Low Level Access course (Combined Low Level Access & Towers for Users Course) and the Work at Height (Novice) course
Pre-Requisites
You must already be a qualified PASMA Instructor.
